Frank Maratta’s Auto Show at the CT Expo gets invaded by VW’s!
Thursday, February 7th, 2008Hello everyone, As most of you know the CVA will be making a showing at the Frank Maratta’s auto show at the CT Expo center in Hartford on February 8-10. We will be bringing 4 of our club members cars. This is double what we brought last year and is a very large honor.
Come visit us and show your support! Our show schedule has been set for the year- Spring Dust-off April 27th, 4th Annual New England Volks-Meet July 12th & 13th and our foliage cruise on October 19th.
There will be some other announcements soon for our Spring Kick-off date and some other fun CVA related events. Hope to see everyone at these events.
On a more personal note, I am in the process of rebuilding/ modifying my bus, which most of you know. It is finally time to start rebuilding her. On that note, I have been gathering parts to make her mobile again, as the transmission quit in the fall. I have most of the stuff I need at this point, but am in need of a good used late model bug transmission. I need th is to complete my swap and make the bus move again. If anyone has one please contact me soon. I am willing to pay for it, or swap some of what I have for one. In my inventory of parts, this is the one piece that I am missing! I would like to get this together by the Dust-Off, and seeing as I have never done this swap, I’d like to try it sooner than later.
